Obituaries | The Tube City Almanac | December 05, 2020

Jesse R. Williams, affectionately known to many as Essie, 66, was born June 12, 1954, in McKeesport, PA.  The beloved son of the late Essie and Tina (Taulton) Williams, he departed this life on December 1, 2020, at UPMC Shadyside Hospital. He was preceded in death by his parents, and sisters, Belinda and Patricia Williams.

Jesse was a graduate of Elizabeth Forward High School. He furthered his education at Youngstown State University where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Jesse was a Computer Analyst for Armada Supply Chain Solutions. On November 26, 1983, he married Jeanette McDew and to this union, two children were birthed.

Jesse was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling, playing golf and he was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Jesse was loved by so many people because he was the type of man who would do anything for his family and friends. He was the rock of his family and that void can never be filled.

He attended the former Laketon Heights United Methodist Church in Penn Hills.

Jesse is survived by his loving spouse Jeanette Williams; son, Jarrett (Heather) Williams of McCandless Twp; daughter, Nicole Williams of Pittsburgh; granddaughter, Paislee Williams; two sisters, Cynthia Dorsey of McKeesport, Donna Rowe of Mt. Lebanon; brother, Ted Williams of McKeesport; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, extended family, and friends, including his Elizabeth homies.
