Virginia C. Kier, age 92 of Liberty Borough, passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 in Mt. Vernon of Elizabeth. Born December 7, 1923 in McKeesport, she was a daughter of the late Chas Weeder and Margaret (Wilt) Weeder Lotz. Virginia attended West Side United Methodist Church in McKeesport and was a former member of Emmanuel Presbyterian Church and its quilting group. She joins her husband, the late Karl W. Kier, who passed away September 17, 1994.

Virginia is survived by her son Karl D. (Margaret) Kier of Liberty Borough and her niece and nephew Debbie and Ken Lotz. Friends will be received in the Daniel F. Bekavac Funeral Home and Crematory, 4504 Walnut St., Versailles Borough, McKeesport, PA 15132 (412-678-3454) on Friday, January 8, 2016 from 6 to 8 PM and Saturday, January 9, 2016 from 11 AM until a 1 PM Funeral Service, in the funeral home, with Rev. Dawn Lynn Check officiating. Procession and burial will follow to Jefferson Memorial Park in Pleasant Hills.
