Casimira "Hazel" Hokaj, age 97 of Canonsburg, formerly of West Mifflin, passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at TownView Health   Rehabilitation Center in Canonsburg. Born September 3, 1918 in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Theophil and Josephine (Szczepanski) Lenda, and beloved wife of the late Joseph L. Hokaj. Hazel was a long-time member of Corpus Christi Parish, formerly St. Mary Czestochowa Parish, former member of the Confraternity of Christian Mothers & Ladies Guild, as well as a member of the Polish Falcons of America. She loved to play Bingo with her friends, and always looked forward to her annual trips to Las Vegas. She also enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews, especially their outings to the Olive Garden. She is survived by her nieces and nephews, William Carr, Rebecca Federoff, Edwin Lenda, Richard Lenda, Thomas Hokaj, Leo Hokaj and Henry Hokaj; and many great-nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Julia Fischer and Frances Cook; and brothers, Theophil, John, Chester and Edwin Lenda. Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home   Crematory on Friday, June 17, 2016 from 12 Noon until time of Blessing Service 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Father Kevin Dominic will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Mary Polish Cemetery.
