Lance A. Frye, 21, of North Huntingdon, passed away Friday December 14, 2018 at home surrounded by family. He was born March 24, 1997 in Pittsburgh, a son of Wilbur F. and Betsy J. (Bouldin) Frye of North Huntingdon. Lance was a Heart Hero for the American Heart Association, a former camper and counselor for Dr. Bill Neches Heart Camp for Kids, a former player and coach for PAL Adaptive Baseball League, and an Ambassador for Children’s Hospital, Beads of Courage, and Speedway. Lance also was a Make-A-Wish Foundation kid. He was a sports fanatic and a member of Pitcairn Monroeville Sportsman’s Club. He was a graduate of Norwin High School, an employee at Earl’s Dairy Whip, North Huntingdon, and a member of First Presbyterian Church, Irwin.

In addition to his parents he is survived by his brother Luke A. (Amanda) Frye of Irwin; his aunts and uncles Norman G. Frye of North Huntingdon, Kenneth E. (Sheree) Bouldin Jr. of Texas, Jeffrey R. (Pam) Bouldin of North Huntingdon, Cynthia L (Tim) Becker of Virginia, Genevieve Frye of North Huntingdon, Margaret Frye of Harrison City, and Kathy Frye of Florida; his donor mom Janece Risty; also many cousins he loved dearly. He is preceded in death by uncles Kenneth E., Robert S., and Welty F. Frye. Friends will be received from Noon to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the William Snyder Funeral Home Inc., 521 Main Street, Irwin, 724-863-1200. A funeral service will be held at Noon Monday in First Presbyterian Church, 617 Main Street, Irwin, with Dr. Ronald H. Wakeman and Rev. Kevin Haley, officiating. Those attending the funeral service please go directly to the church. The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at Children’s Hospital for all the loving, kind, and compassionate care and all Lance’s homecare nurses especially Linda, Marcie, Brandie, and Jackie.
