August W. “Gus” Pastor, 73, of North Irwin, died suddenly Saturday December 2, 2017 while hunting in Avella. He was born November 14, 1944 in Steubenville, Ohio, a son of the late Frank and Goldie L. (Burkhart) Pastor. Gus retired as owner of RTP Machine and Manufacturing and was a former machinist for Westinghouse Airbrake Co., Wilmerding. He was an Army veteran and an avid outdoorsman and hunter. He was a member of North Irwin Fireman’s Club and liked to watch Judge Judy and the Price is Right. He loved driving his Jaguar and riding his Harley Davidson. He is the beloved husband of 28 years of Tracy (Payne) Pastor; loving father of Ronald J. Rodgers (Christine Christopherson) of CA, Colleen (Tom) Cimino of Houston, Cathleen (Jay) Siefert of Greensburg, and Bill Pastor of GA; loving grandfather of ten grandchildren; cherished brother of Frank (Arlene) Pastor of Burgettstown; son in law of John and Mary Lou Payne of North Huntingdon; brother in law of Sherry Payne (Bob) DiCristofaro, John (Linda Pavlik) Payne, and Jody Payne (Raun) Churchfield all of North Huntingdon; also many nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the William Snyder Funeral Home Inc., 521 Main Street, Irwin, 724-863-1200, where a blessing service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Interment will follow in Long Run Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a contribution can be made to North Irwin Volunteer Fire Department, 29 Broadway Ave., North Irwin, PA 15642.
