Maria (Baba) Rusinko, 71, of North Versailles, PA, went home to be with God and her "friends", Friday, November 17, 2017 at UPMC East, Monroeville.
She was born October 21, 1946 in Tovarne, Slovakia, a daughter of the late Juraj and Maria (Mikulic) Bajcura. Maria was a member of St. Stephen Byzantine Catholic Church and Norwin AARP. She enjoyed taking bus trips with the AARP and was a devout Catholic always praying the Rosary. Maria has touched many lives with her strong beliefs and devotion to prayer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother. Miron Bajcura; and mother and father in laws, John and Anna Rusinko. She is survived by her husband, Joseph Rusinko; son, Joseph V. Rusinko and his wife, Lauren; daughter, Jennifer Garvin and her husband, Robert; brother, Jozef Bajcura; sister, Eva Vertigac and her husband, Juraj; three grandchildren, Hannah, Katarina and Samantha; and numerous nieces and nephews.. Friends will be received at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon, PA on Saturday 6-8 p.m. and Sunday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A Parastas service will be held in the funeral home at 7 p.m. on Sunday. A Panachida will take place on Monday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home, and Liturgy will follow at 10 a.m. in St. Stephen Byzantine Catholic Church. Interment in Penn Lincoln Memorial Park.
