William J. Brown, age 90, of North Huntingdon, passed way Friday, September 29, 2017. He was born July 12, 1927 in Harrison City, a son of the late Harry and Mary (Lauffer) Brown. He was a veteran of the Merchant Marine and the Army during the occupation forces after WWII, and went on to be a tool and die worker at Fisher Auto Body in Dravosburg before retiring. He enjoyed traveling, especially to his trailer in Holiday, Florida. He was also a past member of the Elks in Harrison City.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of over 55 years Marion E. (Ramsey) Brown. He is survived by his son Robert W. Brown of North Huntingdon; and grandson Seth William Brown of North Huntingdon. Friends and family will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at the William Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., 521 Main Street, Irwin, 724-863-1200. Everyone will gather at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Tuesday for a funeral service. Interment will follow at Union Cemetery in Irwin.
