Lorraine Waller Standard 85, of Elizabeth Township, PA departed this life Thursday, July 20, 2017, peacefully at the home of her daughter and granddaughter.

Lorraine was born April 1, 1932 in Gratztown, PA to the late Samuel Waller Sr. and Ruby Waller Shelly. She was married to the late Charles E. Standard and from this union one daughter was born, Barbara E. Drake.She attended the Public School system in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.

Affectionately called Aunt Lorraine, she accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age and was a very active member for over 40 years of dedicated service the Church, Suterville, Suterville, PA. She served diligently with the Hospitality Committee, and enjoyed working in any capacity at the church where she was needed.

She loved talking and praising her Lord and Savior. She had a testimony to give and did not mind telling anyone about the goodness and what God has done for her.An excellent cook, who enjoyed family dinners, she was always sought after by family and friends to cater a dish or two to any gathering they had. She showcased the finest cuisine this side of the Alleghenies and will be lovingly remembered for those mouth-watering meals.

She was employed for many years as a housekeeper for the Frankie and Pasula Families for over 50 years. She also found time to serve as a Nanny to many children, who loved her dearly.She was a loving mother, a doting grandmother, great and great-great grandmother to her grandchildren, who meant the world to her. She was well liked and showed much love to all whom she came in contact with on a daily basis. Most of all, she lived a spiritual life that exemplified her strong ethical Christian beliefs.

She will forever be loved and remain a part of those lives that she touched: her devoted daughter, Barbara E. Drake of Pittsburgh; two caring grandchildren, Wendy R. Drake and John Scot Drake, both of Pittsburgh, PA; two great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren that she adored greatly; and a myriad of friends, extended family and her beloved Church of Suterville Family.

The Family will receive friends Monday, July 24, 2017 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the Robert A. Waters Funeral Home Inc., 2326 Jenny Lind Street, McKeesport, PA. Additional visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at the Church, Suterville, 1683 Mars Hill Road, Suterville, PA, beginning at 10:00 am followed by the service at 11:00 am with Pastor Frank Rocco officiating.

Interment at the Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth, PA.

Arrangements entrusted to the Robert A. Waters Funeral Home, Inc., McKeesport, PA.
