Pauline Frances Gibson Davis, 87, of Clairton, Pennsylvania, departed this life Tuesday, June 20, 2017 in AHN Jefferson Hospital.

She was born May 22, 1930 in Uniontown, PA, daughter of the late Frank C. and Goldie Jones Gibson; She was preceded in death by loving husband of 65 years, Adolph Davis, Jr. and siblings, Frank Gibson, Martha Clifford, and Evelyn Chavis.

Sister Pauline was an active and devoted member of Gethsemane Church of God In Christ, where she taught Sunday School, Ushered, and sang in the choir and she also belonged to junior church. She was the State President of the Home and Foreign Missions and an integral part of the community. She participated in the YWCA, NAACP, Boy Scouts of America, and organized a community boys choir. She also served as a volunteer teacher’s aide with the McKeesport Pre-School for Exceptional Children.

Survivors include children, Adolph (Annette) Davis, III of Pepper Pike, OH, Gary Davis of Clairton, and Shawn Davis of McKeesport;seven grandchildren; siblings, Mildred Everson of Clairton and James Gibson of Detroit, MI; special niece, Janetta Edwards of Pepper Pike, OH; nieces, nephews, cousins, and many loving friends.

Friends will be received Wednesday from 4-8 pm at Gethsemane Church of God In Christ, 200 Crest Street, Clairton, Pennsylvania. An additional visitation will be held Thursday from 10-11 a.m. at First Church of God in Christ, 2502 Centre Avenue, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania 15219, where services will promptly begin at 11:00 am with Elder Melvin Brown officiating.

Interment will follow in the Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth, Pennsylvania.
