John R. Kisel, 61, of North Huntingdon, died Friday April 28, 2017 at home. He was born May 13, 1955 in Cleveland, a son of John Kisel of North Huntingdon and the late Nancy (Filson) Kisel. John had been a sales person for Applied Industrial, Shadyside, and worked as a greeter and driver for the William Snyder Funeral Home, Irwin. He was a graduate of Norwin High School, class of 1973, a member of Lutheran Church of Our Savior, North Huntingdon, and an active volunteer for Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.

John is survived by his wife of 41 years Cynthy L. (Baughman) Kisel; his children John R. (Carla) Kisel II of Philadelphia, Justin M. (Gina) Kisel of Jeannette, and Jessica A. (Robert) Turberville of North Huntingdon; his grandchildren Mila Kisel, Tessa Turberville, and a granddaughter on the way; a brother Jeff (Jill) Kisel of Grand Rapids, MI; also brothers and sisters in law and nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the William Snyder Funeral Home Inc. 521 Main Street, Irwin, with a funeral service following at 8 p.m. with Rev. Richard W. Krug, officiating. In lieu of flowers a contribution can be made in John’s name to Pancreatic Cancer Action Network or Lutheran Church of Our Savior, North Huntingdon.
