Raymond A. Leasure Sr., 79, of Herminie, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday January 4, 2017. He was born September 19, 1937 in Greensburg, a son of the late Edward and Daisy (Pioveson) Leasure and was also preceded in death by his step father Louis Guardasoni; his cherished wife of forty six years Audrey J. (Hoey) Leasure, a daughter Cheryl Conner, a grandson William Leasure and a brother James M. Leasure. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh and was a retired metallurgical engineer for Westinghouse.

He was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, Larimer. He served his church his entire life serving as treasurer and financial secretary for many years and enjoyed planting flowers all around the church. He is survived by his loving sons Raymond A. Leasure Jr. and his wife Rebecca of Ft. Smith, AR and James Leasure and his wife Bonnie of Harrison City; son in law Richard Conner of Indianapolis, IN; his loving grandchildren Caitlin and Julia Leasure; a sister Linda Labuda and her husband John of Herminie; also several nephews. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the William Snyder Funeral Home Inc., 521 Main Street, Irwin, 724-863-1200. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday in St. John’s United Church of Christ, Brownstown Rd., Larimer, PA 15647. Those attending the service please go directly to the church. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery, North Huntingdon. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to his church.
