Joan Marlene (Dashkewitz) Santner, 91, of North Versailles, quietly passed away in her home on April 30, 2025.

Joan was born October 21, 1933 to the late William Walter and Bessie (Brunclik)) Dashkewitz. She married her late husband of 47 years, Robert Joseph Santner, and eventually settled in North Versailles where she raised their four children. In the years that followed she enjoyed caring for her home and yard, traveling with her husband, playing cards with family and the penny machines at the casinos, and spending time with family. Her face always lit up when she was with her family and especially the youngest ones.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Dolores McMahon, her brother, James Dashkewitz, her daughters, Linda Corey and Sandra Gumbert, her son, Robert Santner and her grandsons, Benjamin and Steven Corey. She is survived by her son, James William Santner (Whitney) and her many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews who loved her dearly.

Friends will be received from 2:00-5:00 p.m., Sunday, May 4, at the Forgie-Snyder Funeral Home, 1032 Broadway Ave, East McKeesport. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 5 p.m. There will be a repast luncheon following. Interment will be on Monday, May 5, in Penn Lincoln Memorial Park.
