Littleton “Sonny” Spence, 77, of Duquesne, Pennsylvania, departed this life on Friday, October 14, 2016 in UPMC McKeesport Hospital.

He was born, June 29, 1939, in Clairton, Pennsylvania to the late John and Cora Strong Spence. He was also preceded in death by his estranged wife, Janice Lorraine Tolliver Spence; siblings; Janie, Petro, John, Roosevelt, Eddie, Harvey, and Oleter.

Sonny spent most of his life working in Construction and was a member of the Union Laborers’ District Council of Western Pennsylvania. He was currently retired.

He leaves to mourn Floradine Turner, his children, Gerri (BG) Logan of Shelby, NC, Steve Etta O’Kieffe of Washington, DC, Edmound L. Spence of Pittsburgh, Cynthia M. Dunnigan of Duquesne, Shawntell Tomcheck of McKeesport, David M. Spence of Clairton, and Willa G. Spence of Clairton; 22 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren. Sister - Reba King Booker of Queens, NY; brother - Leonard Spence of Homestead, PA; many nieces, nephews, and cousins, along with many other relatives and friends.

Friends will be recieved Thursday from 10-11 a.m. at the Robert A. Waters Funeral Chapel, 449 Mitchell Avenue, Clairton, PA, where services will immediately follow at 11 a.m. with Lt. John R. Esker Jr., officiating.
