Robert "Bob" Carr, 75, of Elizabeth Township, passed away at home on Wednesday, August 22, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. He was born November 19, 1947 in McKeesport and was the son of the late Robert T. and Lois I. (Bond) Carr. Bob was a member of the Mount Vernon Community United Presbyterian Church. He retired after 43 years from Vista Metals as Plant Manager and was a US Army Veteran. Bob loved his grandkids, enjoyed sports cars, boating, golfing with his buddies and spending time in the mountains at Hidden Valley.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Mary Ellen (Yost) Carr, sons, Ryan (Rene) Carr of North Huntingdon and Shawn (Lauren) Carr of Glenshaw, grandchildren, Tanner Carr, Keegan Carr, and Jonas Carr, and nieces and nephews. Friends are welcome Thursday, August 24, 2023 from 4-8 pm at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1638 Lincoln Way, White Oak. (412) 672-6322 Troy J. Gilbert, Director. Funeral Service will be held Friday, August 25, 2023 at 11 am at Mount Vernon Community United Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Matthew Fricker will be officiating. PLEASE MEET AT THE CHURCH.
