She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Irwin Chapter No. 400, and the daughters of the American Revolution. She was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan and enjoyed card club at the Colonial Grille and playing bingo. She is survived by her sons, John M. Johnston Jr. and his wife Bernie and Thomas S. Johnston both of North Huntingdon; her grandchildren, Stephen Johnston and Vanessa (Jacob) Henry; her great grandchildren Isabella, Audrey, and Colton; also nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the William Snyder Funeral Home Inc., 521 Main Street Irwin, 724-863-1200. A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in First United Methodist Church, with Rev. Bruce Judy, officiating. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery.
