Krista M. (Lochinski) Sahai, age 38, of Ann Arbor, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 4, 2023. She was born September 1, 1984 in McKeesport, as the first born daughter of Richard and Nancy (Schubert) Lochinski. In addition to her parents, she will be greatly missed by her husband Vaibhav Sahai of Ann Arbor; their pets; sister Danica (Chai Roka) Lochinski of McKeesport; and brother Richard (Lisa) Lochinski of McKeesport and Thomas (Kayla) Lochinski of Monongahela.

Krista was a free spirited soul with a big heart. She was fearless and independent, yet sensitive and incredibly compassionate. She loved to sew and crochet and would lovingly make blankets for her family and friends. She found comfort and joy in spending time with her dog Beans. She also loved the beach, vacations, swimming, cooking, listening to podcasts, and spontaneity in life.

She was strong willed and stubborn, but she also cared deeply and fiercely for the people around her. She was kind and passionate, and made an indelible impact on many lives. She will be forever missed.

Krista had a great love for animals. Should you wish to contribute to her memory you may consider donating to the Humane Society of Huron Valley at Another charity that she visited earlier this year in India and was close to Krista’s heart was Developing Indigenous Resources at which supports the health and education of poor children in India.

Thank you to everyone for your thoughts and prayers for Krista, and the Sahai and Lochinski Families!

I'll rest in this place
a pure paradise
where families are caring
and strangers are nice,
where the music is soulful
and the season is fall.
Yet longful in this place
may we be whole again.
