Frank C. Crookston, age 65 of North Huntingdon, passed away on Friday, October 7, 2016. He was born March 28, 1951 in Pittsburgh, a son of the Late Jack and Marie (Clark) Crookston. He was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Irwin and the VFW post 781 in Irwin. Frank was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War and went on to be a truck driver for C.A. Walters in Greensburg for over 18 years and then owned the F&L Sporting Goods store in Irwin for over 8 years.

He is survived by his wife of over 43 years Linda Lee (Bumba) Crookston; children Penny (James) Whalen of North Huntingdon and Matthew (Melissa) Crookston Sr. of Apollo; grandchildren Matthew Jr., Amber and Tanner Crookston and Mackenzie, Carlin and Hope Whalen; brother Father Michael Crookston of Monessen; and sisters Linda Marie Crookston of North Irwin and Irma Rich of Jeannette. Friends and family will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the William Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., 521 Main Street, Irwin, 724-863-1200. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the St. Agnes Catholic Church in Irwin. Interment will follow at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies in Bridgeville.
