 Donald George Acalotto, 84 of North Huntingdon, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2016. He was born November 19, 1931 in Irwin, a son of the late Dominic and Aurora (Marsiglio) Acalotto. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in North Huntingdon, the Knights of Columbus, the Italian Club, Irwin VFW, the Fairmont Hahntown Fire Hall and the Irwin Moose where he was the bar manager for over 10 years.

He was an Army veteran that served in Korea and worked as a rural mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for over 40 years before retiring. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother Robert Joseph Acalotto. He is survived by his wife of over 59 years Isabelle Pearl (Feltes) Acalotto; children Donald J. (Sherry) Acalotto, Sandra M. (Drew) Bergman and John “J.R.” (Trish) Acalotto all of North Huntingdon; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; brothers Ettore (Felicia) Acalotto and Dominic (Anita) Acalotto both of North Huntingdon; and sister Loretta (Ted) Leriotis. Friends and family will be received 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the William Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., 521 Main Street, Irwin, 724-863-1200. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in North Huntingdon. Interment will follow at Penn Lincoln Memorial Park in North Huntingdon Township.
