Larry worked for United Airlines as a reservationist for 35 years. He worked in Pittsburgh then the office transferred to Cleveland where he commuted every weekend back and forth to Pittsburgh. He then was transferred to Virginia and retired from the airline. He realized that he was too young to retire and began his employment with Alfieri Funeral Home. He was a dedicated employee and loved comforting many families in their difficult times for 18 years. Larry was a proud US Navy Veteran. A lifelong member of the Wilmerding Volunteer Fire Department. He served on the board of the East Boros Hall of Fame. He is a lifetime member of St. Aloysuis now known as St. Joseph the Worker Parish. As a father and grandfather, he demonstrated strength and courage and the value of working hard in all that he did. Larry loved life. He enjoyed holidays, parties and all celebrations with his family and friends. He loved dancing with Helena at weddings doing the jitterbug. And Sundays were sacred for church and the Steelers. He will be deeply missed.
