Antoinette (Kardos) Remaley “Toni”, 82, of North Huntingdon, PA, passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2022 in Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA.   Toni was born November 27, 1939, in East Vandergrift, PA, to the late Nicholas J. and Anna M. (Kromka) Kardos.  She graduated from Washington Township High School in 1957, and was a majorette with the Thunderers Drum and Bugle Corps. Toni met her life-long companion, Frank Remaley, while she was working at G.C. Murphy in Vandergrift.  Frank and Toni married in June of 1960, and at the end of April, 1963, they welcomed their only child, Lou Ann. Toni was a stay at home mom, always there to offer her daughter and her Ward Drive friends rides, and advice when needed.  She always attended Mass on Sundays at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in North Huntingdon.   Through the years, Toni enjoyed camping and weekends with her family at Morraine camp lands, and later, traveled with her husband throughout the country, visiting casinos, and dog and horse racing tracks.  One of Toni's favorite things was family dinners, and for many years,  Toni was her grandson's biggest fan. She traveled far and near to watch Dante play in countless baseball and hockey games. She was always there to offer a smile and to cheer Dante to victory.  Toni easily made friends, finding the best in everyone, and for her husband and daughter, she was the calm in the storm with the patience of a saint.   In addition to her parents, Toni was preceded in death by brothers, Paul J. Kardos, Patrick Kardos, Nicholas Kardos, and sister Elizabeth Plazio.   Toni is survived by her her loving husband of 62 years, Frank Remaley, daughter Lou Ann and her husband Greg Youhon of North Huntingdon, her grandson Dante and his wife, Melissa Youhon of Pittsburgh, PA., siblings, Loretta Kardos of Washington Township and Joseph (Carol) Kardos of West Leechburg, sister-in-law, Juanita Kardos of North Apollo, and many nieces and nephews.  She will be dearly missed by family, friends and neighbors.  Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m.on Tuesday at James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon, PA  15642.  A funeral service will take place on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.  Interment to follow in Penn Lincoln Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.  www.shirleyfuneralhome.com
