Christopher E. Rodgers, age 53, of North Versailles, formerly of McKeesport, died June 13, 2022, at home. Born June 12, 1969, in McKeesport, he was the son of Eugene Edgar Rodgers and the late Judith Ellen (Fallquist) Rodgers.
Chris worked at US Steel Irvin Works in the warehouse banding steel rolls, where he had 25 years of service. He was a Sons member of the American Legion of White Oak Post #701. Chris loved his dogs, Uno and Mira, and you could often find him purchasing the special of the day at local eating establishments to feed his loyal beloved best friends. He enjoyed fishing, metal detecting, and a toast with friends. Chris had a loving heart, contagious laugh, and a smile that will always be remembered.

Chris is survived by his daughter, Shae E. Rodgers of White Oak; siblings, Robin Kephart of Monroeville, John of McKeesport, and Jennifer (Gary Picketts) Rodgers of North Huntingdon; aunt and uncle, Marjorie (Andrew) Toth of Liberty Borough; also nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
In addition to his mother, Chris was also preceded in death by his brother, Alan.
Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Sunday, June 19, 2022, from 4 p.m. until the celebration of life service at 6 p.m., in the funeral home chapel. Inurnment will be in Richland Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to any No-Kill Animal Shelter of your choice in honor of Chris's love of animals.
