Eileen Moxham Ohota Galeza, 93, of Elizabeth Township, died peacefully with her beloved Judy by her side on Saturday, September 10, 2016. She was born June 5, 1923 in Preston, Lancashire, England and was the daughter of the late Ernest B. and Rose Ann Holt Moxham. She was wife of the late Stanley C. Galeza and Milton Ohota. Eileen was a member of Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Elizabeth Township Historical Society, White Oak Legion Post 701, White Oak Legion Memorial Association, and the McKeesport Hospital School of Nursing Alumni.

She was a Charter member of the Women in Military Service for America Memorial Foundation. Eileen was a graduate of McKeesport High School and was a 1944 graduate of the McKeesport Hospital School of Nursing. Eileen was a private duty nurse for 17 years and was also an Occupational Nurse for Christy Park Works for 24 years. Eileen was a 1st Lt. in the US Army Nurse Corps serving during WWII in Korea, the Philippines and Jackson, NC. She received the WWII Victory Medal, Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal and the Army of Occupation Medal. She is survived by her beloved Kerber Girls, Judy Marshall, Mary Ellen Driver and Janet McCarthy and her dear cousin, Harry (Sue) Holt of England who called her faithfully every week. Friends are welcome Tuesday September 13 from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township. Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday at 12:30 pm, with The Rev. Erin Evans officiating. Interment with Military Honors will follow at the Peace Lutheran Cemetery, Greenock.
