Charles R. Plecko, age 74, of North Huntingdon, passed away Friday, September 9, 2016 at home. He was born June 4, 1942 in Timmins, Canada, a son of the late Stephen and Margaret Bartakovich Plecko. 

Prior to his retirement, Charles was a computer programmer for Stuart Medical and retired from Highmark Medical. He was a member of the Lutheran Church of Our Saviour. An avid reader, and World War II history buff, Chuck was also a Pittsburgh Penguins and Steelers fan. He enjoyed working in his back yard and feeding the birds. He loved spending time playing with his grandpuppies, Jade and Jasmine and his beloved cat Spoozy. He is survived by his loving wife, Sandra Maleski Plecko; son, David Plecko; daughter, Cindy Plecko (J.B. Bauer); brother, Stephen (Deanna); and sister, Lois Jean Plecko. He was an active second father to his niece, Ruth and survived by several nieces and nephews, Jason, Janelle, Kari, Kady, Josh, Kenny, Mikey, and their families. Friends will be received on Monday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon, PA. Additional visitation will be held on Tuesday from 10 to 10:30 a.m. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Lutheran Church of Our Saviour Church, North Huntingdon. Interment in West Newton Cemetery, West Newton, PA.
