Roger Joseph Maceno, age 88 of Elizabeth Township, passed away on Monday, February 7, 2022. Born June 27, 1933 in Braddock he was a son of the late Joseph and Helen (Powell) Maceno. Roger loved to talk to people, which he had the opportunity to do every day as a bus driver for Port Authority Transit for 36 years.  Following his retirement from PAT in 1994, he took two weeks off and worked another 24 years for Massie Toyota and Day Toyota.  He was a devoted dance and marching band parent to Tina during her school years and was a fixture at Payday’s Giant Eagle, which he used as a social hub. He was also a former member of the Lion’s Club. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and “Pop Pop.”

Roger was survived by his loving wife of 44 years Lorraine (Cockshott) Maceno; daughter Tina (Peter) Hanlon of Aspinwall; grandchildren Natalie, Lucy, and Leo; and sisters Joanne Kopchek and Rose Curry. Roger was also the loving uncle of his nephew Daniel (Maria) Maceno of South Park; and great-niece Grace and great-nephew Evan. Besides his parents Roger was preceded in death by Brothers Daniel Maceno Sr., Edward Maceno, and David Ostermeyer; and nephew Daniel Maceno. Friends will be received at the Daniel F. Bekavac Funeral Home and Crematory 4504 Walnut Street, McKeesport, PA 15132 on Friday February 11, 2022 from 2 PM to 4PM and 6 PM to 7:30 PM. A service will be held at the funeral home at 7:30 PM with Rev. James Crosby officiating.
