Donald A. Palm, 94, of Forest Hill, MD, formerly of N. Huntingdon, passed away Friday, January 14, 2022 in Forest Hill Heights, Forest Hill, MD. He was born October 27, 1927 in McKeesport, son of the late Edwin G. and Mabel (Piper) Palm. Prior to his retirement, Don was a nuclear engineer for Westinghouse and a veteran of the US Army Air Force, having served during the Korean War Era.

Over the past 30 years, Don was a dutiful caregiver to several family members, and especially to his wife, Patricia. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Huey Palm, his sister Joan (Palm) Kenders, and brothers Dale, Eugene, and Robert. He is survived by his daughter, Tracie Ulmes and her husband, Kevin; grandchildren, Abby and Patrick; and brother Gary and his wife, Darlene.

Friends and family will be received on Friday from 3-7 p.m. at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, N. Huntingdon, PA 15642. A funeral service will take place on Saturday at 12 noon in the funeral home chapel. Interment to follow in Jefferson Memorial Park, Pittsburgh. The family respectfully requests that those in attendance please mask, due to COVID-19. In remembrance of Don’s life, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to the American Red Cross, whose support gave Don many precious months before passing. Arrangements pending.
