Lauro Knight, age 91, of  McKeesport, PA, died October 30, 2021. Born February 28, 1930, in Cedar Springs, AL, he was the son of the late Richard and Katherine (Shorter) Knight and the husband of the late Azzie (Jackson) Knight.
Lauro was retired from the City of Pittsburgh, where he worked in the Sanitation department. He was a member of Union #178 Public Works. He spent his free time watching football and other sports. Lauro also enjoyed playing cards, trips to the casino, and watching old westerns.
Lauro is survived by sons, Ulysses Knight, Earl Knight, and "Eddie" James Knight; daughters, Donna Knight, Vivian (Paul) Ball, Vivin Mills, Katherine Parr, and Dorothy Knight; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, brother, Richard Knight; also many nieces and nephews; and long time friend, Dorothy Cornish.

He was also preceded in death by sons; Willie, Larry, Cornelius, Lougene, and William; grandchildren, Azzie Ball, Shakeem Gustave, and Dolores English.
Family and friends will be received at Willig Funeral Home & Crematory on Friday, November 5, 2021, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be on Saturday, at 1 p.m., in the funeral home chapel. Pastor Michael Queen will officiate.
Burial will follow in McKeesport & Versailles Cemetery.
