Louis George Zell, 95, of West Mifflin, formerly of White Oak and North Versailles, passed away Tuesday, October 26, 2021. He was born August 27, 1926 in McKeesport and was the son of the late George and Freda (Pusch) Zell. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in White Oak, F & AM Youghiogheny and Duquesne-McKeesport Lodge, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of Pittsburgh, Syria Shriners of Pittsburgh, McKeesport Caravan #4, Old Timers Bowling League, McKeesport Meals on Wheels, Greater Pittsburgh Food Bank, Past President McKeesport Junto, Past President White Oak Chapter AARP, Past President Mon Yough Branch 332 Letter Carriers, and Past Vice President of Mon Yough Chapter 1855 NARFE. Louis was a Letter Carrier for over 35 years with the McKeesport Post Office and was a US Navy WWII Veteran.

 He is survived by his wife, Theresa Marie (Fraas) Zell, daughter, Laura Louise (Eric) Johnson of Waxhaw, NC, Linda Marie (Robert) Mancz of Liberty Borough, and Lorraine Dianne (Mark) Hoylman of Leland, NC, grandchildren, Dianne M. Suckfiel, Eric G. Mancz, Teri Kolinski, Jamie Johnson, Lisa Johnson, Jacob T. Hoylman and Julia N. Hoylman, great-grandchildren, twins, Mark R. Suckfiel and Evie L. Suckfiel, and Tyler Kolinski and Caylee Kolinski, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by sisters, Katherine M. Zell and Elizabeth Hall and brother, Lawrence F. Zell. Friends are welcome, Monday, November 1, 2021 from 6-8 pm at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1638 Lincoln Way, White Oak. (412) 672-6322 Troy J. Gilbert, Director.  Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at  Faith Lutheran Church, White Oak at 10 am with at the Rev. Michael Ryan, officiating. Entombment with Military Honors will follow at the Penn-Lincoln Memorial Park, North Huntingdon. Memorial contributions may be made to the Faith Lutheran Church or McKeesport Meals On Wheels.
