Bernard J. Runge, age 91, of West Mifflin, passed away on August 17, 2021. Born in Duquesne on April 27, 1930, he was the son of the late Edward & Catherine (Fey) Runge. He was a retired plumber from Local #27, a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Parish-St. Joseph Church where he served as an usher and money counter, Past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus #4210 and also a member of the Knights of Columbus Fourth Degree. He was Past President of the K of C Senior Citizens, a member of the West Mifflin Annex Senior Citizens, and volunteer and potato pancake maker for the St. Joseph Fish Fry.

He was the husband of the late Lucille (Boyer) Runge for 65 years; father of Wilma (late Edward) Krien of White Oak, Robert Runge of West Mifflin and LouAnn (Robert) Kraus of Warrenton, VA; grandfather of Shanna Krien, Brandon (Samantha) Krien, Keith (Jen) Kraus and Courtney (Justin) Willis; great grandfather of Collin Krien, Lennox Kraus & Olivia Willis; brother of Dorrine Miller of Versailles, Fey Pellasce of White Oak, late Marlene Corazzelli, late Paul Runge, late Raymond Runge and late Mary Alice Skorupski; Nieces and Nephews. Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 22, 2021, from 2-8 p.m. at the MALOY-SCHLEIFER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 915 KENNEDY AVE., DUQUESNE, 15110, 412-466-3300, WILLIAM B. SCHLEIFER, SUPERVISOR, WILLIAM BRIAN SCHLEIFER, FUNERAL DIRECTOR, where a blessing service will take place on Monday, August 23, 2021, at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, Duquesne, with Rev. Michael Conway, officiating. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Mifflin.
