Walter J. Sedlock, 88, of Elizabeth Twp., passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2016, at UPMC McKeesport. An  Army veteran of World War II, he was a cost accountant at GM Fisher Body Corp. in West Mifflin. He was a member of St. Michael Parish in Elizabeth Twp. and was very active in the church. He volunteered his time and service to the McKeesport Salvation Army. 

Born February 22, 1928, in Smithfield, he was a son of the late John and Mary (Kovalski) Sedlock. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Rhoda E. (Swaney) Sedlock; son, Walter (Susan) Sedlock of Greensburg; daughters, Diane (Eric) Olsen of Billings, MT, and Joyce (Dennis) Marburger of Stewartstown; 8 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy Jasper of Arizona, Judy (the late Mervin) Swaney of Uniontown, Audrey (John) Bacha of Arizona and Barbara (Andy) Fabian of Smithfield; sister-in-law, Helen Sedlock (wife of his late brother, Charles) of Michigan; also, nieces and nephews. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, 221 North Second Avenue, Elizabeth, on Wednesday, August 10, 2016, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, August 11, 2016, at 10 AM at St. Michael’s Parish with Rev. Thomas A. Wagner officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery.
