James D. Boot, Jr., of West Mifflin, age 79, died April 3, 2021. He was born in Greensburg, October 28, 1941 and is the son of the late James D. and Irma Ruth Anderson, Sr. He loved all music and played the guitar in many bands. He retired from Rudy’s Auto Service in Whitaker.

He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Cynthia Odoski Boot, daughters, Michelle (Steve) Guffey of N. Huntingdon, Cynthia (the late Micky) Mains of White Oak and Dawn (Scott) Ulm of White Oak, sons, Craig Calesaric of West Mifflin, and Jeff (Amy) Calesaric of Moon Twp., 12 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild, and sisters Irma (the late David) Evans of Smithton and Amy (Willie) Washington of Scottsdale.

Family and friends will gather at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA  15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412 678 6177) on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Services will be held on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at 10:00 am in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow. 

The family and our team members appreciate that all visitors follow the current CDC guidelines including wearing of masks, social distancing and capacity limits. We thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
