Jack Douglass "Hank" Jorgenson, age 73, of Springfield, VA, formerly of Elizabeth Twp., passed away on Monday, February 22, 2021 at Capital Caring Health Adler Center. He was a retired COO for Janjer Enterprises in Silver Spring, MD and a US Navy veteran. He was a member of the American Legion Post #176 in Springfield, VA and McLean Bible Church in McLean, VA. Some of his most memorable opportunities were his two trips to the Holy Land, his baptism in the Jordan River and his mission trip to Haiti. Born December 10, 1947 in McKeesport, he was a son of the late Jack Preston and Anna Vaughn (Douglass) Jorgenson. He was the previous husband of the late Sharon Lynn Gillen Jorgenson. He is survived by his daughters, Kelly Hamric of Ashburn, VA and Linsey Jorgenson of Haymarket, VA who is currently serving in Haiti as Director of Streethearts; granddaughters, Jaclyn Nicole Hamric and Kayla Noelle Hamric; sisters, Janna (Steve) Keyes of West Bloomfield, MI and Deborah Urban of Elizabeth; also, nieces, Devie Rollison and Jessica Keyes; nephews, Kyle Gillen and Steven Keyes; aunts, uncles and cousins. A memorial service will take place on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at 2 PM graveside at Round Hill Cemetery. There will be a celebration of life at Droopy’s Blaine Hill BBQ following the service to celebrate both Hank and Shari Jorgenson. Memorial contributions may be made to Streethearts Haiti, helping homeless street kids in Haiti, 15109 Championship Drive, Haymarket, VA 20169.
