Deloris V. Pohelia, age 99, of Verona, formerly of Duquesne, passed away on February 11, 2021, at Seneca Hills Village. Born in Duquesne on January 25, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Frank & Rose (Chernik) Pohelia. Deloris was a retired secretary from Westinghouse and a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Parish-Holy Name Church. She was the sister of the late Irwin W. “Cy” Pohelia, late Charles (late Wilhemina) Pohelia, late Frank (late Helen) Pohelia, late Eleanor (late Francis) Cooley; aunt of Robert C. (Barbara) Pohelia of Akron, OH and the late Jane Nye; great aunt of Heidi (late Scott) Smith of Florham Park, NJ; great-great aunt of Cassie Smith; special friend of the late Gary Goyke. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 18, 2021 from 9:30-10:30 A.M. at the MALOY-SCHLEIFER FUNERAL HOME, INC., DUQUESNE, 15110, 412-466-3300, WILLIAM B. SCHLEIFER-SUPERVISOR, WILLIAM BRIAN SCHLEIFER-FUNERAL DIRECTOR, where a blessing will take place at 10:30 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Name Church, Duquesne, at 11:00 A.M. with the Rev. Dan Sweeney officiating. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Mifflin. All PA Covid-19 precautions will be in place at the funeral home  and in Church and visitors must wear a mask.
