Albert F. "Hector" Roll, 84, of Elizabeth, passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at VA Hospital - Oakland Division.

 An army veteran, he was a steelworker for 25 years at the U.S. Steel Clairton Works and a member of Elizabeth United Methodist Church. A former police officer for Elizabeth Borough and 49-year member of the Elizabeth Volunteer Fire Department, he was a member of the Stephen Bayard Masonic Lodge No. 526 and the Pin Club of the Masonic Lodge. Born January 7, 1932, in Elizabeth, he was a son of the late Frank and Beatrice Roll and husband of the late Betty M. (Young) Roll. He is survived by granddaughter, Brandi (fiance Aaron Nolfi of Glassport) Hayden of Elizabeth; stepson, Dennis Paxon of East Millsboro; and great-grandson, Jesse A. Nolfi. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by daughter, Bonnie Lou Hayden. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, 221 North Second Avenue, Elizabeth, on Sunday, July 17, 2016 from 5 to 8 PM. A funeral service will take place on Monday, July 18, 2016 at 12 noon in Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Nolfi officiating. Burial will follow in Jefferson Memorial Park, Pleasant Hills.
