William G. Protz, age 71, of White Oak, died on Tuesday, December 8, 2020. He was born on February 22, 1949 in McKeesport and is the son of the late William and Mary Vinanski Protz and the husband of the late Kathleen McAuliffe Protz. William was a machinist for a number of steel plants in the area for many years.
He is survived by his daughters, Amy (Eric) McHugh of Yardley, PA, Beth (Howard) Pearson of Spartanburg, South Carolina; and son, William J. Protz of Clinton, Tennessee; grandchildren; Zachary, Jacob,Sean, Christopher, and Althea , sister, Alice Pastirik of Liberty Borough; brother, Albert (Mari Jo) Protz of White Oak; nephews, Eamonn and Samuel Bellin and Michael Pastirik.
A gathering will be held at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, (412-678-6177) on Saturday, December 12, 2020 from noon until 2:00 p.m. when funeral services will be held. The family appreciates all social distancing guidelines be followed at the funeral home.
