Elizabeth Marie Janov, age 93, of North Versailles, died September 16, 2020, at UPMC McKeesport. Born May 5, 1927, in Glassport, she was the daughter of the late George and Mary (Kushner) Dobos and the wife of the late Andrew Janov.

Elizabeth, or "Bett" as her family and friends called her, she worked as a
Registered Nurse, having spent her 40-year career dedicated to the care of her patients as well as to the development of the nurses that worked under her, retiring from McKeesport Hospital. She was a US Navy veteran, serving as an Ensign. Elizabeth was a devoted parishioner of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church of McKeesport, where she was a member of the Ladies Rosary Guild. She enjoyed puzzles, reading, gardening, cooking, and baking of which her family will dearly miss. As well as her family, Bett loved pets and leaves behind her loyal dog, Nikki.
Bett joins her late son, William Janov, and is survived by her children, Joan "Joanie" (Leonard) Andrews, Andrew "Andy" Janov, Paul (Sherri) Janov, and Blase (Regina) Janov; her grandchildren, Elizabeth "Beth" (Brad) Krupp, Jennifer (Michael) McDonough, Anna (Michael) Davis, Billie Rose Schwetz, Mary Dryburgh, Theresa (Curt) Loy, Jason (Lauree), Joshua (Natalie), Seth, Tiffany Robb, Laura, and Nathan; her great-grandchildren, Bailey, Josie, Ethan, Sierra, Chase, Hazel, Elizabeth, Emma, Evangeline, Lilly, Norah, Isla, Samuel, Jonah, Asher, Eloise, Brayden, Delaney, and Ainsley; her great-great-grandson, Leon; her sister, Sister Marion Dobos, OSB of Pittsburgh and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, husband, and son, she was also preceded in death by her sisters, Molly Prokopchak, Annie Kula, and Velma Rollison.
Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Monday, September 21, 2020, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., with the Parastas service at 7:00 p.m. The Divine Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 22, 200 at 10:00 a.m., at St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church. Committal prayers, military honors, and burial will follow in Monongahela Cemetery of Braddock Hills.
