Paulette L. Detwiler Morse, age 77, of Dravosburg, died June 12, 2020, at UPMC Pittsburgh. Born November 27, 1942, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Ruth (Lewis) Tennant and the late Paul W. Detwiler and cared for by loving step-father, the late Ervin Tennant.

Paulette was a graduate of Homestead High School, then Westmoreland County Community College, with an associate's degree in business. She enjoyed a career as a Certified Professional Secretary for 41 years, and was a graduate of Trinity College, Washington D.C., with a communications degree. While living and working in the D.C. area, Paulette served as a secretary to presidents Jimmy Carter and Ronald Reagan. In 1985, Paulette was named the best secretary in Maryland. Since returning to Pennsylvania, she had been an active member of AARP #3175, Brierly Heights Woman's Club, The Red Hat Society, as well as the American Bell Association, owning more than 600 bells. She is survived by her beloved companion James L. Emswiller of West Mifflin; brothers, David P. Detwiler of West Mifflin, Barry (Becky) I. Tennant of Davenport, FL; nephew, Bryan (Robin) Tennant of Turtle Creek; nieces, Holli (Tommy Borucki) Detwiler of Elizabeth Township, Susan (Vito)  Detwiler Russo of Moorestown, NJ, and Bobbie (Adam) Keller of Davenport FL; great-nieces and nephews, Jennifer, Tiffany, Salvatore, Marcello, Addison, Lorelei, and Kenna; step-sister to Marlene (Daryl) Tennant Smith, Wendy, Debbie, and Jeffery Detwiler. In addition to her parents and step-father, she was also preceded in death by her step-brother Irvin A. Tennant and Howard Ross Tennant. At Paulette's request, there will be no visitation. Arrangements were entrusted to Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory. Private inurnment will be in Jefferson Memorial Park.
