Millie Montrenes Palian Ghanem, age 85, of White Oak, died on Saturday, May 23, 2020. She was born in McKeesport on May 26, 1934 and is the daughter of the late Michael and Mary Czap Montrenes. She was a beautician and owned her own business and was a cashier at the Acme Department store prior to receiving her master’s degree in nursing from the University of Pittsburgh. She retired as a registered nurse. She had been a world traveler, residing in Saudi Arabia, where she was a liaison for the School of the Handicapped.

 

She is survived by husband Mohammed Ghanem; son, Scott (Monica) Palian of DuBois; and granddaughter, Leah Palian of Jacksonville, FL. She was preceded in death by her first husband, George Stephen Palian; and son, Guy Palian.

Family and friends were received at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412-678-6177), on Wednesday, May 27, 2020, where Trisagion Services were held by Reverend Father William Zotis. Burial followed.
