Jean Shaffer Newlin Moyle, 100, of Elizabeth Township and Naples, FL, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, April 24, 2020. Born on November 2, 1919 in Dravosburg, she was the daughter of the late Fred A. and Clara B. (Abels) Shaffer. She was the wife of the late Joe B. "Red" Newlin and John C. Moyle, and sister of the late Leona Shaffer Holmes, Wilfred (Bud) Shaffer, and Kathryn M. Bittinger. She was also preceded in death by her step-sons, David and Curtis Moyle, a niece, Mary Lynne Hurley and nephew, Terry Holmes. She was a member of the Mount Vernon Community Presbyterian Church and it's Chancel Guild and was an associate member of the Lily Presbyterian Church and it's Ladies Association in Naples.

She worked for Prudential Insurance for 36 1/2 years and retired in 1975 as Office Manager. She enjoyed golf and was a member of the Youghiogheny Country Club Ladies Golf Association, the Glades Golf Association in Naples, Prudential Retirees, Prudential Retired Office Managers and Associate Office Managers Group, Elizabeth Township Seniors, Versailles AARP and the Glades Purple Parrot Red Hat Association. She loved playing Mahjongg with her friends here and in Naples.

She is survived by nieces, Darlene (Frank) Basic and Stacy (Michael) Simon of Elizabeth Township, Patty (Roger) Mansfield of Carmel, IN, nephew, Douglas (Becky) Shaffer of Scottsdale, AZ, and Kevin Bittinger of Indianapolis,  IN, step-daughters-in-law, Judy Moyle of Slidell, LA and Charlene Moyle of Pittsburgh,  step-grandchildren, Deborah Ringo, Jeffrey Moyle, Darla Naze, Diane Wells, Christa Akhrass, Caryn McKenna, and Charles Moyle, and 21 step-great-grandchildren and 9 great nieces and nephews. Private Family visitation and service will be held at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township. (412) 751-5000 Drew J.
