Mildred Pilipovich Bauer, age 93, of North Huntingdon, passed away, Sunday, June 12, 2016 at Excela Health Westmoreland.

She was born July 13, 1922 in Yukon, daughter of the late Stevan and Martha Basara Pilipovich.  Prior to her retirement, Mildred was an assembly worker for Westinghouse Air Brake, Femco, Comptrol and Vectran.  She was a member of St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church, Monroeville, Eastern Star Irwin Chapter No. 400, Snyder-Frye Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW Post 781, and the Hobo Circle of Hermine.  Mildred was one of the oldest avid Pittsburgh Penguins Fan and followed them since they were called the Hornets. Because she was one of the longest Penguin Fans, the family asks that you dress in Pittsburgh Penguin attire to celebrate her love of the Penguins.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Bauer in 1985; brothers, Victor and George Pilipovich; and sister, Mary Katic.  She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Victor Pilipovich Jr, Stephen Pilipovich, David Pilipovich, George Pilipovich Jr., Penny Pilipovich, Marcy Burges, Kathy Katic; five great-nieces, one great-nephew; four great-great-nieces and five great-great-nephews.  Friends will be received at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon, on Thursday from 2-8 p.m.  A funeral blessing will be held on Friday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.  Interment in Irwin Union Cemetery, Irwin.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church, 2112 Haymaker Road, Monroeville, PA  15146.  www.shirleyfuneralhome.com.
