Catherine Elizabeth McKeown, 93, of Elizabeth Township, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, February 17, 2020. She was born November 19, 1926 in Wildcat Hollow and was the daughter of the late Christ and Rose (Thompson) Maurer. Catherine was a member of the Greenock United Methodist Church. She had worked for Balsamo's, G.C. Murphy Co. Home office, and also US Steel Christy Park Works during WWII. 

She is survived by her husband of over 73 years, Glenn C. McKeown, daughters, Diane (Phillip) Boyle of Rostraver and Janet (Gary) Burkett of Katy, TX, grandchildren, Christopher Burkett, Kelly (Jason) Sullins, Jeffrey (Sarah) Boyle, and Theresa (Bryan) Moore, great-grandchildren, Mack and Julia Moore, Ethan and Blake Boyle and Kathryn and Dayvin Sullins, and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers, George, Lester, Kenneth, James, Russell, Harold, and John Maurer, and sister, Margaret Abercrombie. Friends are welcome Wednesday, February 19, 2020 from 2-4 and 6-8:00 pm., at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township. (412) 751-5000 Drew J.
