On Tuesday, January 28, 2020, JoAnn Leckman, age 65, of White Oak, PA, passed away peacefully in her home.  JoAnn was born and raised in McKeesport, PA, the daughter of Dorothy Ruth (White) Cartwright and the late Ronald Wayne Cartwright.  JoAnn was the widow of the late Terry K. Leckman.  JoAnn and Terry shared a long, loving and committed marriage for 37 years, from 1975 to 2012, when Terry passed away.  They were proud members and supporters of the Riverview Baptist Church in McKeesport.  JoAnn Leckman was preceded in death by her father Ronald, her husband Terry, and her brother Jeffrey Wayne Cartwright.

JoAnn is survived by her mother Dorothy, her sister Jacquelyn Cartwright of Melbourne, FL, her brother Ronald “Pete” Cartwright (Andrea) of White Oak, her daughter Amanda Leckman of San Diego, CA, her son Erik Leckman of White Oak, her son Matt Leckman (Kate) of Elkins Park, PA, and her three beautiful grandchildren, Christian, Grace, and Charlotte Leckman.  There will be no visitation, but the family will receive visitors and host a memorial service, officiated by Pastor Alan Gross, at Riverview Baptist Church in McKeesport at 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 22, 2020.  A private family burial will take place following the service.  In lieu of flowers, the family humbly invites donations “In Memory of JoAnn Leckman” to Autism Speaks, an organization that was near and dear to her:  Autism Speaks, 8035 McKnight Road, Suite 301, Pittsburgh, PA, 15237, (412) 367-4571, www.autismspeaks.org.  Arrangements are by the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1638 Lincoln Way, White Oak.
