Timothy Michael Plavchak, age 57 of Clairton, passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at home. Born May 26, 1958 in Clairton, he was a son of the late John and Dorothy (Wasko) Plavchak and brother of the late Robert Plavchak. Tim attended CCAC and the University of Pittsburgh and was employed by US Steel, Irvin Works. Tim was a member of Ascension of Our Lord Byzantine Catholic Church in Clairton and the Greek Catholic Union.

He is survived by his brother Raymond (Sandra) Plavchak of Jefferson Hills and his nieces: Brittany, Lindsay, and Lauren Plavchak. Friends will be received in the A.J. Bekavac Funeral Home, 555 5th. St., Clairton, PA 15025 (412-233-5700) on Friday, January 8, 2016 from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM with a 7:30 PM Parastas Service. Panachida Service will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2016 in the funeral home at 10:30 AM followed by procession to a 11 AM Funeral Liturgy in Ascension of Our Lord Byzantine Catholic Church with Fr.
