Bruce A. Rush, age 66, of Smithton and formerly of Clairton, passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2019 at home. He was a retired millwright at U.S. Steel National Tube in McKeesport and a U.S. Navy Veteran of Vietnam. He was a member of the Smithton American Legion Post #790 and an avid tournament pool player in the APA League.

Born August 3, 1953 in McKeesport, he was a son of the late Charles E. “Abe” Rush and Helen (Kessler) Rush. He is survived by a son, Phillip A. (Kay) Rush of West Mifflin; daughters, Amanda (Raymond) Konopka of Bethel Park, Lori Rush of Greentree and Holly (Aaron Eakman) Rush of Belle Vernon; grandchildren, Zachary Rush, Joshua and Evan Crist, Madelyn Grace and Harper Mae Eakman; siblings, Daniel Rush of Smithton, Gregg Rush of Clairton, Wendy (George) Gitas of Bethel Park and Jill (Richard Grusofsky) Rush of Clairton; loving companion, Toni Kardos; nieces and nephews, Jennifer (Jason) Cseripko, Samantha (Carter and Layla) Rush; cousins, Arlene Hofbauer and Eric (Karen) Kessler; also aunts, uncles and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a nephew, Justin Rush. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, Elizabeth on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at 10 AM in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Jude Urso officiating. Burial will follow in Jefferson Memorial Park, Pleasant Hills.
