Donald F. Chapas, 86, of White Oak, died March 8, 2019, at Locust Grove in West Mifflin. Born June 10, 1932, he was the son of the late Stanley and Veronica (Balonis) Chapas and the husband of the late Mary Jane (Yeo) Chapas, who preceded him in death by 9 months, they were married for over 61 years.

Donald retired from Westinghouse Bettis, where he worked for 38 years, as a nuclear technician. He was a member of St. Angela Merici Church. Donald was a US Army veteran, serving during the Korean War. He enjoyed breakfast with old work friends, working around the house and playing sports. He loved the challenge of fixing things that others couldn’t fix. He was known to friends and family as the person to bring things to for repairs that no one else could fix. His greatest joy was spending time with his granddaughters. Donald is survived by his daughter, Linda (Joseph) Pasqualino of McKeesport:; granddaughters, Amanda (Brandon) Eberle, Nicole (Jeff) Morris Pasqualino and Kaylyn (Josh) Drager. Arrangements were entrusted to Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory. Inurnment and military honors will be in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies on March 25, 2019 at 2:30 pm .
