Shirley Daphne Zugai, age 82, of Elizabeth Township, died February 4, 2019, at UPMC Seneca Place of Verona. Born June 11, 1936, in Sutersville, PA. She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Ethel (Leggin) Colvin and the wife of Nicholas Zugai, for over 53 years.

Shirley retired from the Youghiogheny Country Club, where she was a baker and known for her sticky buns. She had a passion for baking, cooking and hosting Holiday family gatherings. Shirley also enjoyed tending to flowers and her houseplants. She was a member of Community Life of McKeesport. Shirley's greatest joys were spending time with her family and attending Croatian picnics. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Richard D. (Carol) Wassel of North Irwin, Randy D. (Kathy) Wassel of Elizabeth Twp., Ron D. (Tracey) of Creighton, Nicholas J. (Joan) Zugai of Elizabeth Twp., Michelle R. (Mike) Rydzak of McKeesport and Suzann M. (Tim) Artman of Peters Twp. 12 Grandchildren include Cory Pietrusza, Bob Karnes, Dylan Wassel, Logan Wassel, Kayleigh Mayer, Olivia Zugai, Julie Rydzak, Faith Rydzak, Michael Rydzak, Matthew Rydzak, Sydney Artman and Cammi Artman. 7 great grandchildren. Her siblings include Georgia Peska, Donna Harshbarger, Tena Romonosky, Ralph Colvin, Mike Colvin and Steve Colvin. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Colvin.

Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Friday, February 8, 2019, from 1 to 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. until the time of service at 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
