Ronald E. “Big Ronnie” Rodgers, age 74, of McKeesport, died January 4, 2019, at Sycamore Estates in Duquesne.  Born April 30, 1944 in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Raymond and Vivian (Sundburg) Rodgers.

Ronald was retired from G.C.Murphy Sign Co. He was a US Navy veteran serving during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the First Evangelical Free Church, where he was also active with the Senior Achiever's group. Ronald enjoyed Doo Wop and the summer concerts at Renzie. He is survived by his sister, Darlene V. Caldwell of McKeesport; nephews, Ronald, Phillip and Timothy; great niece, Caroline; great nephews, Zeke and Braxton; also many cousins. In addition to his parents, Ronald was also preceded in death by a sister, Dawn Rodgers. Family and friends will be received at the Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Tuesday, January 8, 2019, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. until the time of service at 8:00 p.m. Inurnment will be in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies at a later date.
