DAVID R. PETERSON age 69, of West Mifflin, suddenly on October 21, 2018. Beloved husband of 49 years to Janet (Matis) Peterson; loving father of Hope Peterson of West Mifflin, Linsey (Eric) Havel of Bellevue, and Timothy Peterson of Duquesne; brother of Christine Peterson of West Mifflin, Eric (Denise) Peterson of West Mifflin, and the late Jenny Cabray; loving grandfather of Emma, Zachary, Derek, Peyton, Hannah, Lucas, and Claire. Dave proudly served in the US Navy from 1967-1971. Dave was a proud life member of the American Legion, former board member of Post 712, Pleasant Hills, and active member of Post 760, Bethel, and a life member of the NRA. Dave was passionate about riding motorcycles and cheering for the Steelers. He was captain of the Syria Shrine Patrol 2006, and a past master of the Jappa Lodge #714.
Visitation November 19, 2018 form 10 am - 12 pm Funeral service at 12 pm. Burial will be with military honors at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospital, c/o Syria Shrine Center, 1877 Shriners Way, Cheswick, PA 15024.
