Departed this life on September 29th at the age of 89. Eleanor was the loving wife for 64 years to the late Stanley Kozlowski.She had been not so patiently waiting for him to “come and pick her up ” since his passing in 2014.

Departed this life on September 29th at the age of 89. Eleanor was the loving wife for 64 years to the late Stanley Kozlowski.She had been not so patiently waiting for him to “come and pick her up ” since his passing in 2014.
Eleanor’s parents were the late Mary Rusnak Maturkanic and Michael Maturkanic. Eleanor is the last of her siblings which included Eugene Maturkanic, Edith Todd, and Michael Maturkanic. She was a life long resident of McKeesport.
Eleanor will be forever loved and missed by her four children. Stanley M. (Laraine) of North Huntingdon; Karen Petrus (John) of North Versailles; Edward J. (Paula) of North Huntingdon; and Kevin R. (Sherry) of McKeesport.
She also leaves behind her five grandchildren Amy (Henry) Callithen, Jeramie (Mandy), Jacqueline Petrus-Powell (Robert), Michael, and Steven. Additionally three great grandsons Logan, Lance and Ethan; and loving nieces and nephews.
Though the main focus of her life had always been caring for her home and family.  She also was especially proud to have served as Christian Mother’s President for two terms at the then Saint Mary CzÄ™stochowa Church now Corpus Christi Parish of McKeesport.  Among her other interests was serving as President to the local T.O.P.S. Club of McKeesport in the 60’s and 70’s.
Many will remember her for her hand made “signature” needlepoint color coordinated purses she always carried as well as her baking skills.
Over the years Eleanor ’s interests included anniversary trips to dine at the Skylon Tower Restaurant with Stan at Niagara Falls, Canada; as well as their many trips to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and The Gettysburg Battlefield in Pennsylvania.
Life is a lot like the rosary…
some times are Joyful others are Sorrowful.
 Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Tuesday, October 2, 2018, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, 10 a.m., at Corpus Christi Church. Fr. Steven M. Palsa will be the celebrant. Committal will follow in St. Mary Polish Cemetery. Condolences and memories may be shared at www.jaycox-jaworskifh.com
