Vince S. Dimsa, age 67 of Elizabeth Twp., passed away on Monday, June 18, 2018.  Born March 9, 1951 in West Mifflin, he is a son of Anna Marie (DiPaolo) Dimsa of West Mifflin and the late Vince Dimsa.  A member of St. Michael's Parish in Elizabeth Twp., Vince was a graduate of West Virginia University, earning his Bachelors of Science in Engineering.

In his career, he worked as an engineer for Matrix Engineering,  Trimark Engineering where he served as president, and currently Monaloh Basin Engineering where he served as Executive Vice President.  He was a member of the Engineering Society, the Lions Club, and the Youghiogheny Country Club.  In his spare time, Vince was a licensed pilot and enjoyed spending his time in Boyton Beach, FL and the Greenhouse Winery.  His friends would say that he approached life with the seriousness and practicality of his engineering training.  His family would say it only added to his unique sense of humor.  He was also an accomplished musician, playing saxophone for the band The Castaways alongside his beloved wife of 43 years Marlene (Matalski) Dimsa, who played the accordion.  Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by his daughter Meg Dimsa of Washington, DC and her family Sheila McMullan, Mackenzie, and Miranda and his brother Robert (Sue) Dimsa of West Mifflin.  Friends will be received in the Daniel F. Bekavac Funeral Home and Crematory, 4504 Walnut St., Versailles Borough, McKeesport, PA 15132 (412-678-3454) on Thursday, June 21, 2018 from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 22, 2018 at 10 AM in St. Michael's Church with Fr. Thomas A. Wagner officiating.  Procession and burial will follow to Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Elizabeth Twp..  Memorial contributions in Vince's name should be made to the White Oak Animal Safe Haven, 2295 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131.  His love of music gives us comfort through his favorite song "Harvest Moon" by Neil Young: "But there's a full moon risin' / Let's go dancin' in the light / We know where the music's playin' /Let's go out and feel the night."  www.bekavacfuneralhome.com
