Elverta A. "Vi" (Weber) Lafferty, 93, of Lenexa, KS and formerly of Elizabeth, passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at Villa St. Francis in Olathe, KS. She was a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church of Elizabeth where she served as a Deacon, a member of the former Board of Sessions, a former Christian Association member and a member of the church choir. She loved the Lord since the age of three. Born November 20, 1922 in Clairton, she was a daughter of the late Reuben W. Weber and Jewel (Shuster) Weber and wife of the late Miles H.  Lafferty, Jr. Vi is survived by daughters, Michele Lafferty of Fort Walton Beach, FL, Cindy L. Lafferty of Pittsburgh and Mila C. (Phillip) Krepps of Naples; son, Edward B. (Mary Ellen) Lafferty of Olathe, KS; granddaughter, Amber (Christopher) McCullough of Shawnee, KS; also nieces & nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sisters, Jewel Winkelvoss and Hazel Jean Weber; and brothers, Clyde W. Weber and Clarence W. Weber. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, 221 North Second Avenue, Elizabeth on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A funeral service will take place on Wednesday at 12 Noon in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Jim Davidson officiating. Burial will follow in Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth Twp.
